Use Muttmates at your own risk. The app is a noticeboard for dog owners, nothing more. We accept no responsibility, to the maximum extent permitted by law, for anything that results from using it: not the parks, not the people, not the dogs, not the data, and not anything that happens on the way there or back.
Muttmates does not vet anyone. We do not run background checks on members, and we know nothing about any dog's temperament, health or vaccination status. When you arrange to be at a park at the same time as other members, you are meeting strangers with animals, and you alone judge whether that is safe for you, your family and your dog. Dog fights, bites, injuries to people or animals, theft, and every other real-world outcome are risks you accept by turning up.
Park locations, boundaries, fencing and facilities come from OpenStreetMap contributors and member suggestions. Community data is often right and sometimes wrong. A park shown as off-leash may not be. A park shown as fenced may not be. A park may be closed, flooded, being mowed, or gone. The signs at the gate and your local council are the authority. Check them, every time, before you unclip the lead.
Nothing in the app or on this website is veterinary, legal or any other kind of professional advice. If your dog is unwell, see a vet, not an app.
The app is provided free, as-is and as-available. It can be wrong, late, or down. A notification that never arrives, a plan that shows stale information, or an outage at the worst moment are all possible, and none of them create any liability on our part.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dutch Digital Dynamics Pty Limited, its directors and its contributors exclude all liability for any loss, damage, injury or death arising out of or in connection with Muttmates or your use of it, however that liability would otherwise arise. Nothing here excludes rights under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded; where liability for such rights can be limited, it is limited to resupply of the service. The terms of use carry the full version.
